Welcome to the Sprayberry STEM Academy, a nationally Cognia STEM certified institution dedicated to providing an exceptional educational experience. We strive to foster a passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in our students.
Mission & Vision
At Sprayberry STEM Academy, our mission is to empower students with the knowledge, skills, and mindset to excel in STEM disciplines and become future leaders and problem solvers while still having a meaningful high school experience. Our STEM scholars are not just STEM students, they are varsity athletes, nationally recognized musicians, actors, dancers, Eagle scouts, and the list goes on. We firmly believe that high schoolers need to experience high school with STEM and not STEM at the expense of high school
STEM is not about the number of AP classes you can take. STEM is about the opportunity to experience and engage in learning outside of a classroom. Because of this mindset- Sprayberry is committed to experiences, not textbooks. This includes student designed research that our teachers have taken up in the Zero G plane. Two international wins with NASA space programs, Flight simulator experience as teachers fly over the school, and personal interactions with Astronaut Don Pettit as he conducted our student designed research on the International Space Station.
