Sprayberry STEM students were the first school to generate a student created experiment that was tested aboard the ISS with direct collaboration with Astronaut Don Petit called Fast Labs. We even got a shout out directly from the ISS!
Students had the opportunity to learn about flight through flight simulators on the ground while their teachers got to fly over the football field. Then students experienced their own flight at indoor skydiving where they calculated their own terminal velocity

Sprayberry STEM academy teachers have brought in over $30,000 in grants to fund STEM programs including a brand new NASA Engineering Lab and NASA Botany Lab.
Our teachers are consistently improving the National STEM community by presenting their expertise at National Educator conferences including NSTA (National Science Teachers Association) and NCTM (National Council for Teachers of Mathematics)
